Description
A rare example of this southern California 1963 Jaguar Mark II 3.8L Sports Sedan with an extremely desirable 4-speed manual transmission with factory overdrive! 14″ bolt-on wire wheels, power steering, AM/FM radio, Laycock de Normanville factory overdrive, Mota-Lita steering wheel, removable rear fender skirts, 4-wheel disc brakes, fold-down picnic tables, racing-inspired hood louvers, Lucas fog lights. Exquisite color combination, drives and performs brilliantly!
The car has reportedly always been garaged and rare for any cars of this vintage has no signs of any accidents with a striking ‘Red & Silver’ two-tone color paint with a very nicely reupholstered matching ‘Red’ color vinyl interior with the burled walnut interior showing extremely well – not a show ready example but a very presentable and solid daily driver!
The car drives very well, and extremely rare for one of these cars with the Moss manual gearbox correctly selecting all the gears, including reverse & overdrive, which as any enthusiast will confirm is a lottery in most unrestored or original Moss transmissions, which generally need a sympathetic and experienced hand to avoid wrong slotting! There is no noise from the rear axle or rear end and there are no signs of any smoke.
